Sometimes it takes a while to come around to yourself.  There are a lot of distractions in life, conflicting viewpoints and layers of inaccurate impressions.  Sometimes you think this is who you are but after trying it out you find that it's not quite the right fit.  Or you change and it takes a while for all of your parts to catch up to the new reality.  All of these things and even more in the mix can make it challenging to answer the seemingly simple question: Who am I?

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to ask myself that question and to spend a few years really working on unraveling the answer.  I've learned that "who I am" is a moving target, ever evolving and that's part of the understanding of it all.  But even knowing that, I've really put thought into what's important to me, what's at the core of how I live life, and how I want to proceed with this understanding.  It's involved quite a bit of navel gazing, but that kind of introspection can be quite helpful when you're at a juncture in life, or even just going along through your days.  It gives choosing a way forward some useful parameters.

So all this is to say that I'm feeling more and more comfortable with operating in the world as an artist, and someone who loves this place where I live, and a person whose enthusiasm for life is rooted in my community of both lovely people and lovely natural surroundings.

And I have to laugh at myself right now because where all these reflective meanderings started was as a way to tell you about my NEW WEBSITE, which I feel brings all these things that I do and who I am under one digital roof.  And I worked hard to create it and am pretty pleased with the results.  So thank you for reading and please also take a look at rosiecarter.com!
